The Square and Round Dance Federation of Nova Scotia has funded production of 100 sets of three DVDs, each of which contains roughly four hours of video clips from Festival 2010. Setup work on Tuesday and Wednesday has been recorded. There are of course many dancing clips, with samples from every hall (the leader and dance level are identified in all cases). Significant attention is also given to other Festival activities, such as the Singles Dinner, Banner Parade, ceremonies, and the daily Showcase of Rounds. There are walkthroughs of the dance venue, the International, Heritage, and Sewing Rooms, and the Saturday waterfront dance, as well as segments from the panels, sewing demos, and Saturday’s Ecumenical Service. A detailed list of contents is provided. Viewers report that the video provides an entertaining and accurate impression of the Convention. It can be played on a computer, or on a modern flat-screen TV equipped with a DVD player. The cost of the video is CDN $10 plus shipping (CDN $2.50 in Canada).
